The Manor and all of its mystical power is controlled by the Dowager Thornclaw, the matriarch of the Thornclaw Family, she has been alive for millennia. She is shrewd and sometimes cruel and she always has a plan.

She sits at the center of the Thornclaw family controlling the dynasty of otherworldly beings from the high-backed chair in her chamber. She is watched over by her doctor and the Apothecary who work to ensure that she will live for another millennium, but the three-eyed elder being can see that her end is in sight.

She sees herself as the bulwark against chaos and through her order, she has allowed the humans of our world to survive and prosper. Her control of the Manor allows her to maintain control of the realities of the universe. But she knows the stars are aligning against her and that a new age must come to replace the old.

As the forces of chaos scratch at her front door, she fears there will be no one to protect theuniverse she has worked so hard to maintain.
